CLASS PCEM By CAROLYN l'A'r'r1+:r: Class Poet Four years have passed since we ventured Down the streain that leads to the scag lVe l1ave conquered the baflling currents, For a space we are safe in the lee. VVe launched full of faith and of courage, VVith hopes for smooth sailing aheadg But as soon as we passed from the harbor VVe sensed a feeling of dread. There were rocks, there were cliffs, there were ehasins VVe have weathered them all without fearg And though we were often disheartened The deep, restful pools diffused cheer. On we went through nieads and green valleys Down the mountains and deep-winding gleng But though wc are leaving the stream behind Our journey is not at an end. VVe are entering the river of life so wide VVhere thc falls are a wee hit stecperg And often when tasks seem a little too hard We'll wish for the pools that were deeper. But on we will go till the haven is reached, VVhere the waters are peaceful and calmg VVhcre those whoin we knew in our high school days VVill he gathered victorious and strong. J l10l
