Miss Gioria taught personal grooming, chose great patterns and made all kinds of clothes, and could cook up any num- ber of tasty delights ... but she was in desperate need of new kitchen cabinets. Richard knew how to build gun racks, stools, tables, chests, Jr. Prom decora- tions, Cribbage boards, yachts ... and kitchen cabinets! The only trouble was, he wasn’t very good at cooking, and he had two buttons missing on his fire coat! The two of them decided to team to- gether to become the team of Mr. and Mrs. Comtois. They have been working with all of us for over two decades, teaching us how to take better care of ourselves, cook, sew, and turn a piece of wood into a useful creation. It is with great pride and pleasure that we dedi- cate the 1986 Sampler Yearbook to: Mr. and Mrs. Richard Comtois DAVID WINDFIELD ADAMS CHIP The game is not over until it is over. Qualities for membership into the National Honor Society include scholarship, leadership, character and service. A faculty selection committee chooses members by secret ballot from a list of students that meet academic qualifications. The members of the Jesse A. Judd chapter of the Na- tional Honor Society, who are among the busiest students in the school, still find the time to participate in activities sponsored by the society. This year they have participated in the Scholar's Bowl, which took place at St. Michael's College; raised money for Shamrocks For Dystrophy; rec- ognized teachers and staff on National Teacher Day; and organizd two induction ceremonies for new members. Mr. John Eric Bone was inducted this year as an Honor- ary Member. Mr. Bone is a distinguished English teacher, and has also participated in many extra-curricular activi- ties with students in this and past years. This year, Alyson Ewald and Melissa Perry were nominated as possible re- cipients of one thousand dollar National Honor Society scholarships.
