| [Homecoming Went Back Through Time Bellingham High School went TO THE back through time for Home- aha, : ‘ : an coming with the theme “Rock “te 7™ =— s — of Ages.” The seniors chose the i a Stone Age, juniors selected Co- ‘ : ’ ; - lonial Times, sophomores took % = Rk : oe the Medieval Period and the : ia i freshmen picked the Roman Age. Halls and floats were dec- orated and skits were per- formed representing the differ- ent ages. Class competition held a variety of events from di- nosaur races to “jousting” with pillows. There was also daily competition where everyone dressed up according to the dif- ferent ages. 1: Members of the Sophomore class performed a Homecoming skit based on witchcraft in which the Spartan team cast a sleeping spell on the Raider team and Coach West broke that spell. 2: Ju- niors Frank Pitsch and Ken Pimento fought a mock joust to determine who would represent the Juniors in class competition. 3: Frank Pitsch defeated Ken Pimento and went on to fight the Senior class competitor. 4: Principal Larry Stephan crowned Homecoming Queen Jane Prokopowich and con- gratulated her on winning. 5: Juniors Kelly Kane and Julie Saxton added fin- ishing touches to a section of their hall decorations.

Page 26: 1: Trace Swann pulled Paul Anthony, alias Paul Revere, during the Junior skit. 2: Lisa Chapin, Kelly Hoffman, Kathy Bonner and Pat Hill examined Pam Volkman’s poster. 3: Seniors covered showcase windows with hall decorations. 4: Lisa Thompson, Julie Rhea, and Margaret Day worked hard on the Freshmen hall. 5: Sophomores per- formed their skit. 6: Mr. Stephan and the Junior Royalty Kim Galley and Fred Schacht waited for the start of the assembly. 7: Julie Schwartz, Heidi Weiss, and Lorri Smith decorated their hall. Page 27: 1: Despite appearance, Seniors won the UGN competition. 2: Senior Royalty Jane Prokopowich and Brent Henshaw, and Sophomore Roy- alty Kelly Smith and Eric Anderson watched the assembly. 3: Michelle Ghio and Lynn Parker danced as a part of the cheerleaders’ skit. 4: Se- nior Royalty rode on their float during the Homecoming Parade.
