Flag Team Entertained The Flag Team again had a full squad with fourteen members captained by senior Natalie Downs. The girls were chosen from choir but became part of the marching band during football half-time shows and parades. The group also accompanied ihe band to Victoria in the spring. Row 3: Margaret Duncan, Pam Wiebe, Caren Crabtree, Sandra Shaffer, Julie Riseland, Shelly Varner, and Vinnie Jameson. 1: Despite appearances Michelle Gilliam did end up in the right place. 2: Vinnie Jameson, Margaret Duncan, and Sue Thorsteinson stood to attention during a football half-time show. 3: Shelly Varner, Sandra Shaffer, and Vinnie Jameson performed a routine for the show. -

Row 3: John Horn, Greg Copland, Matt Nims, Doug White, Bobbi Banning, and Mike Melugin. Row 4: Rich- ard Mowry. The Stage Band was made up of se- lected students from the Raider Band. During the year they played at assem- blies, concerts, and other school func- tions. They traveled to contests in other states and represented our school. 1: John Horn practiced his electric guitar. 2: Dave Klander was serious about playing the barry sax.

Concert Choir Had An Active Year 33 The 1979-80 Concert Choir was very active this year. Besides the major school concerts, they performed at the City Hall, the Elks Club, and Sun- nyland Elementary School during Christmas; and later performed at Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm during an extended Spring vacation. They worked many hours earning money to pay for the trip to Califor- nia, and overall had a super year.
