Don Fenton’s basket with 14 seconds left gave the Raiders a 48-47 win over Mt. Vernon and Chris Bergner’s 22 points and 16 rebounds helped bring the Raiders from 14 points down to a 50-46 win over Sedro. Individual standouts were Captain Chris Bergner who set new Frosh records with a 16.5 scoring average and a 13.1 rebound average per game. Jeff McCauley established a new field goal accuracy mark by hitting on 50% of his attempts, and also averaged 12.7 points and 10.3 rebounds per game. The Frosh demonstrated good poise during the last part of the season, and this along with excellent size, should help them make a substantial contribution to Raider Basketball. 161
