Thursday came and left with little excitement to speak of except during lunch when the Seniors put Jon Fischer in the stocks to celebrate Black Plague Day. Friday was the finale to an exciting week. Red and White count was taken in third period classes and the frosh took that. All students had lunch together then after fifth period students and teachers flocked to one of the funniest assembly in years. It was opened by one of Jeff Reynolds worst jokes then turned over to the faculty for a hilarious skit about what life was really like way-back-then. The Frosh then presented their version of the game against our foe and the Sophs winning skit starring 'Thanks-a-lot' Meyers. The queen ceremonies were the awaited joy of all. Sheryl Swank reigned as queen, with princesses Pamela Lausch, Sharon Anderson and Dawn Roland. After they were given the traditional kiss by the football players the Juniors presented their version of College Bowl. Rex Johnson at the assembly. Left: Cory Anderson helps build the Junior township on Monday Night with much hard work and devotion. Above: Freshmen pose as a donkey for their skit at the assembly. After the assembly everyone filed out to the sidewalk for the usual Homecoming parade which this year was also won by the freshmen who had the most people on their truck. The game started at 8:00 after the Junior Spagetti Feed and a short Car Caravan to Civic Field. At halftime the winners for the week were announced with the Sophomores winning overall and Juniors winning the hall. The Sophomores also won the locker sign and skit competition. To top the night off Bellingham won the football game against Mariner after being tabbed as an Underdog. Below: Sheryl Swank is being crowned by Coach

Red Raider Wrestlers Finish High in District This year's Varsity Wrestlers, under the experienced direction of Head Coach George Yonlick and Assistant Coach Bob White, proved to be outstanding in every sense of the word. Fantastic performances in all weight classes led the Raider team to a third place in the District, qualifying 9 for the Regional matches at which the Reds took fifth and from that contest three Raiders advanced to the AAA State tournament. Jack Dyrland and Ray Heffley both received a first place in their respective classes and Gary Slyke received third in the regional at which all Northwest AAA schools participated. All proved to do a good job of representing the Raiders and Bellingham High School at the State AAA Tournament.
