CQ' fi J Doors opened, doors slammed, editors ran in, reporters ran out. Hurry, hurry, scurry - get that paper written, pub- lished, distributed. This always seemed to be the state in Mr. Gooch's Beacon class, with Julie Gilday and John Stolpe writing fthe editorials and being sure that all stories were in. The ad staff kept the Beacon going by selling ads to busi- nesses, and the business staff kept the books straight. Vicky Bell and her imagi- nation put interest on the feature page, while John Griggs took care of sports. Finally, Friday afternoons - more hus- tle, more bustle, and all l7OO papers were out! Then on Monday, it all started over again. Twenty Four BEACON REPORTERS With a sly look of satisfaction, Beacon adviser Mr. Gooch and Editor Julie Gilday read the ads that keep the staff going.
