Students in this field may go into teaching or into the various phases of social work. Considering the emphasis on the role of the social worker in our various institutions, this is a very pro- mising field of study. SPEECH C. S. C.’s department of speech, with its new major, has attracted both students preparing for careers in bustness or the professions as well as students in all ateas of education. Course offerings have been broadened to include speech correction, phonetics, voice science, dra- matic literature, argumentation, and per- suasion, discussion, technical theatre, and creative dramatics. It consists of twenty credits in the field it- self plus education courses and practice teaching. One of the enjoyable courses is rhythmics, in which most of the men claim they have three left feet.
