PHILOSOPHY A minor in philosophy consists of a minimum of eighteen credits in philoso- phy. Four of these credits may be select- ed from colloquium. Courses in meta- physics, the history of philosophy, ethics and value theory, and symbolic logic are available. MUSIC As of last fall Central State was the first of the state colleges to offer a Bache- lor of Music degree in Music Education. The major offers students the opportu- nity to specialize in the arts, teaching, or professional courses. Graduate stu- dents who are trained in music are in in- creasing demand. It consists of twenty credits in the field it- self plus education courses and practice teaching. One of the enjoyable courses is rhythmics, in which most of the men claim they have three left feet. Albert Harris B.E., PhM., Associate Professor of Psychology A background in psychology is valu- able for everyone, especially for future teachers, parents and welfare workers. It helps the individual not only to under- stand himself but also the society in which he lives.
