Loof 46 Mrs. Papelian — Advisors — Mrs. Valorie t fjj j tit?. -M Well Seniors, we did it! After four long, hard years of high school, it ' s finally over. Although it hasn ' t been easy, it really wasn ' t all that bad, was it? They say we have our whole lives ahead of us, but let ' s not forget our years at B.H.S. Memories of the friendships, the laughter, the smiles, and now the tears. Memories we can cherish all our lives . . . “Memories light the corners of my mind. Misty water color memories of the way we were. Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind, smiles we gave to one another for the way we were. Remember double sessions? We watched ' Happy Days ' reruns before catching the bus, and came home just in time for supper. In 7th and 8th grades we found our way around the school, saw new faces, and started friendships that would last for many years to come. In Freshman year, we elected Bob Pemberton as our Class President, Kathy Locklin as Vice President, Jeanne Galipeau as Secretary, and Paul Dalpe as Treasurer. We had our first Carnation Sale and had a Balloon Dance. As Sophomores, we started to become active as a class. Kevin Winship was our President, Bob Pemberton Vice President, Jeanne Galipeau Secretary, and Jackie Bonin Treasurer. At our Christmas Dance, Bobby and Jeanne dressed as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus and we sold Christmas Carnations. We had a car wash to raise money, had “Super Sophomore Spirit Week, and voted on Superlatives. We planned an elaborate Ring Dance, and with the help of Mr. Fox, turned this gym into an elaborate ballroom. In our Junior year, our class was adopted by Mrs. Valorie and Mrs. Papelian, and we became busier than ever before. Bob Pemberton was President, Kevin Winship Vice President, Jeanne Galipeau Secretary, and Jackie Bonin Treasurer. We sold Nature Wreaths at the Autumn Flea Market, sold Christmas and St. Patricks Day Carnations, attended the Jr. Sr. Christmas Party, had our Junior Prom at the Sheraton in Mansfield, our first formal occasion as a class, and our football team had its first winning season in a long time. “Can it be that it was all so simple then, or has time rewritten every line? If we had the chance to do it all again, tell me would we? Could we? Sometime between last September and today, our Senior year flew by. We made important decisions regarding our futures, and made it through our last year. For the first time in the history of our class, we elected four female officers. Jeanne Galipeau was our President, Karyn Meehan Vice President, Judi Loof Secretary, and Jackie Bonin Treasurer. We had Senior Dress Up Day, a Halloween Dance, participated in the Flea Market, donated Thanksgiving Baskets to needy families, planned the Jr. Sr. Christmas Party, held a raffle, and sponsored “Funtastik Fifties Night. We sold carnations for Christmas and St. Patrick ' s Day, had a Valentines and Sadie Hawkins Dance, and held “Senior Spirit Week. And, we will never forget our 1983 Tri Valley League Championship winning basketball team. After April vacation, we caught “Senior-itis, and struggled through our last days of school. We had the first Jr. Sr. Prom at Demetri ' s Red Snapper with the largest turnout ever (close to 400 people!) We took our final exams, had Senior Takeover Day, went on the Class Trip to the Frank Davis Resort, and then heard the first bars of “Pomp and Circumstance at graduation rehearsals. And now, here we are, it ' s Class Day. Tonight we will say goodbye to our teachers, classmates and friends at the Senior Class. Banquet, and tomorrow night we will graduate. We have a lot of good things to remember about Bellingham High School, and like they say, “These are the best of times. “So, it ' s the laughter we will remember whenever we remember the way we were. The way we were. Judi Loof v. . feanne, our leader, head of the class. Karyn, the V.P., a soft spoken gal. Loving and caring, this remarkable lass. Efficient. A doer. She ' s everyone ' s pal. Judi, madam secretary, one foxy lady. With notes ever lucid—not one ever shady. Jackie, so organized, the creme de la creme — With treasury money — one fantastic femme.
