All the great Due football teams of the past said they had Due Pride as they went on to win mast of their games. Out, does Due Pride exist when you le se your first five games? All of whieh were in Due Stadium, ineluding the humiliating loss to Mayfair tt e knew we had to prove to ourselves and to everyone else that we were Dues and that Dues have pride. So we went to Artesio and beat the tough Pioneers 26 to 12 We finally felt the thrill of victory and Coach Odelt drank his coke with o smile. Dut, the next week we were shocked by Neff 38 to 0. We couldn understand how we could lose so bodly after winning so decisively We almost gave up Instead, we held together and beat Excelsior Suddenly, we had a chance to go to CI.F. Dut, we hod to beat La Mirodo and hope they lost to Neff the fallowing week We rook on La Mirodo, but they beat us in the second half We then hod no chance for CIF. We had just one last gome to play and that was Homecoming.
