Dedication The Treasure Chest of 1958 takes pleasure in honoring a member of the faculty at Bellflower High School. Since the yearbook theme is Under the Sea, the honored prodagogue is an appropriate selection because of his connection with the sea. This teacher came to Bellflower in 1952 after teaching for a year at Fuller- ton. While in the field of public instruction, this individual has taught General Science, Health, Social Studies, Senior Problems, and American History. He has been a basketball coach and currently is a counselor for School Three. In 1953 he completed the requirements for an administrative credential and received the Master Degree in 1951. Before going into the teaching profession, he was a co%pilot for T.W.A. and is now on leave of absence from the air lines. In addition to this, he is also a Lt. Commander in the Naval Reserve. Almost every week-end you will find him flying at the Naval Reserve Air Station. In his spare time, he is the sponsor of the Skin Diving Club at School. He enjoys such sports as water skiing and skin diving. One of his prize possessions is his boat. During the summer he flies airplanes to and from Catalina Island. He is married and has two children, a girl and a boy. To you, William Brown, we dedicate this '58 Treasure Chest.” 10
