Each one who knows Rose knows that her crowning beauty is her beautiful red hair. She has the spunk and alertness which usually accompanies it. Rosalie came to us seven years ago from Lynden Christian School. During her sophomore year, she was a member of the Delta Gamma Club. As for hobbies, going to games is about her pet one, not to say anything about the boys who might take her. During the last two years in high school she was a member of the G.A.A. She would like to be a nurse's aide. 'I WINNIE VAN DAM A live wire is never stepped OD. The live wire of the senior class, Winnie has a fun-loving nature and usually goes into hiding when mischief is discov- ered. Her stature is small, but she is all there. For two years she sang in the Glee Club and in her freshman year she joined the Gazette Staff. In her junior year she was a member of the Delta Gamma Club. She gave a top performance as Kitty in the Junior Play, and also participat- ed in the Forensic Club that year. For the past two years she has been a member of the G.A.A. GERALD ROELOFSEN If he were as long as his line, he'd be a giant. Gerald was as member of our class since the first grade and was always the life of the party. Doing a good job on the Student Council in his junior year, he was elected to the posi- tion of vice-president while in his last year. He was class treasurer in his second year and vice-president in his last year of high school. He was also a mem- ber of the Varsity Club for one year. Gerald plans to go in the service after graduation. ill X ,- . . 3 ,u . ,Q ,. 1 4? s 1 HARRIET SCHONEVELD What she does she does well, and she does most everything. Ralph, a swell friend and class- mate, left the Netherlands and migrated to America. Although not partici- pating in many activities, he has always been around to enjoy the fun. ln the classroom, there is room for work, and a little time for mischief to relax the mind. Getting into trouble is not his hobby but he always seems to be around when it's there. After graduation, he plans to attend college. E a l

MARGUERITE VANDERBY She gladdens the world with her song. It has been a pleasure to know Marguerite. She is a twelve-year student and one of whom we can be proud. Possessing varied talents, she took part in many activities: the Gazette Staff for her first year in high school, vol- leyball as a freshman and sen- ior, and basketball in her last year. She was a member of the G.A.A. for the last two years. When a sophomore, she was secretary of the Photography Club, and as a junior a member of the Sewing Club. For four years she lent her voice to the Glee Club and has been a real asset there. She chose the Pre- College Course for her high school career. REKA VANDER SYS 'AA sunny disposition and ready for fun. Fun-loving Reka was with us since '46. As a freshman, she became secretary of her class and a member of the Gazette Staff. When a sophomore, she became the efficient Delta Gam- ma Club secretary. Besides be- ing the secretary of the G.A.A. in her iunior year, she was also an active member of the cast in the Junior Play. She sang in the Glee Club for four years and this year she was its secretary. Her plans are not definite but she wants to attend college. SAM WYBENGA Good people are scarce, take care of me. Undescribable Sam received all of his education at Bellflower Christian. If any class became dry or uninteresting, there was Sam supplying humorous enter- tainment. He was a real inspira- tion to our class during our par- ties and supplied much of the fun. As a sophomore, he was a representative to the Student Council, and as a senior he was elected Student Body treasurer. In his last year of high school, Sam served as the capable pres- ident of the Varsity Club. He was a prominent football player during his last three years. His plans for the future are indefi- nite.
