GERALD ROELOFSEN If he were as long as his line, he'd be a giant. Gerald was as member of our class since the first grade and was always the life of the party. He participated in B Football during his freshman year, and played a good end position on the Varsity Football Team while a senior. Doing a good job on the Student Council in his junior year, he was elected to the posi- tion of vice-president while in his last year. He was class treasurer in his second year and vice-president in his last year of high school. He was also a mem- ber of the Varsity Club for one year. Gerald plans to go in the service after graduation. ill X ,- . . 3 ,u . ,Q ,. 1 4? s 1 HARRIET SCHONEVELD What she does she does well, and she does most everything. Because of her pleasing and friendly personality, Harriet is es- pecially liked by her classmates. She was with us since '46. As a sophomore she was a repre- sentative to the Student Council and was a member of the Delta Gamma Club. During two years in G.A.A., she was first its treas- urer and then its president. The Glee Club also claimed her as an active member for two years. An ardent lover of sports, she participated in volleyball, base- ball, and basketball. This year she rose to the honorable posi- tion of President of the Student Council. Her ambition is to be- come a nurse's aide. X l I . RALPH SIKKEMA Greater men than I have lived, ibut l doubt itl. Ralph, a swell friend and class- mate, left the Netherlands and migrated to America. After at- tending several eastern schools, Bellflower Christian was chosen as the place for his high school education. Although not partici- pating in many activities, he has always been around to enjoy the fun. ln the classroom, there is room for work, and a little time for mischief to relax the mind. Getting into trouble is not his hobby but he always seems to be around when it's there. After graduation, he plans to attend college. E a l

'1 HARRY PRlNS His deeds are greater than his words. Harry, one of our more reserved seniors, attended our school for eight years. He came from the Netherlands, where he had at- tended a Christian School. He used his abilities to sing by be- coming a member of the Glee Club for his last three years of high school. While a sopho- more, he ioined the Photography Club,and performed as a mem- ber of the cast in the Junior Play while in his third year. After graduation he plans to at- tend an agricultural school or become a member of the armed forces of our country. . SX JANE PRINS Kindness ha s irresistible charm. Jane came to us as an immi- grant from the Netherlands three years ago. She ca me as a stranger to our school, but soon accustomed herself to her new American home. She has become a well-liked member of the sen- ior class of Bellflower Christian. She is quiet but has a heart of gold. As a member of the Class of Fifty-five, she has served well whenever asked to be on a committee. During her junior and senior years she was a member of the G.A.A. Her ambition is to be a registered nurse. all - L - . S. 1 N1 BETTY REITSMA One in a million. Betty attended Bellflower Chris- tian for twelve years. She has been a real friend to all who have made her acquaintance. During her sophomore year she was vice-president of her class. As a iunior, she was literary ed- itor of the Crusader Staff and sang in the Glee Club during both her sophomore and iunior years. She held the position of class secretary while in her iun- ior and senior years. Betty was also in the Forensic Club as a iunior and the G.A.A. as a iunior and senior. lk-if-1 , HANK SNAPPER He's lived, he's loved, but he's never learned. Hank was born in the Nether- lands and came to the United States while in the sixth grade. After attending Lynden Christian School, he came to Bellflower cmd matriculated at B.C.H. for his junior and senior years. Dur- ing his junior year he served as vice-president of his class and was a member of the Glee Club. Hank played his role well in the Junior Play and, as a senior, did a good job on the Annual Staff as photography e d i to r. After graduation, Hank plans to at- tend Calvin College and take up the study of medicine. Each one who knows Rose knows that her crowning beauty is her beautiful red hair. She has the spunk and alertness which usually accompanies it. Rosalie came to us seven years ago from Lynden Christian School. During her sophomore year, she was a member of the Delta Gamma Club. As for hobbies, going to games is about her pet one, not to say anything about the boys who might take her. During the last two years in high school she was a member of the G.A.A. She would like to be a nurse's aide. 'I WINNIE VAN DAM A live wire is never stepped OD. The live wire of the senior class, Winnie has a fun-loving nature and usually goes into hiding when mischief is discov- ered. Her stature is small, but she is all there. For two years she sang in the Glee Club and in her freshman year she joined the Gazette Staff. In her junior year she was a member of the Delta Gamma Club. She gave a top performance as Kitty in the Junior Play, and also participat- ed in the Forensic Club that year. For the past two years she has been a member of the G.A.A. She claims that after graduation she will work until she's rich.
