Sophs Adjust by Holiday Time For a majority of the sophomores, adjusting to high school had basically set in by the holiday season. With vacation in mind the period between Thanksgiving and Christmas was brief. As the Christmas spirit filled the air. sophomores began to realize that Christmas break was near. Sophomores made the best of this break since it was just eight days long. Upon returning from the holiday vacation period, sophomores anticipated semester tests January 17. 18. and 19. and they experienced open campus for the first time during test week. After the holiday vacation, there were fifteen long weeks of school with just three days off for teacher in-service until Spring break. 79
