FBL FBLA Offers Service Future Business Leaders of America prepares and helps students understand the basic fundamentals of business in which they may be involved in the future. As FBLA's active year began, so did their annual kit sale. Along with the kit sale, other club activities included providing a snack bar at lunch for students and helping the city beautify areas of our city. With money raised from the kit sale and the snack bar, FBLA was able to pay the partial cost of a new computer. In late March, members of FBLA packed up and went to Morehead State University to compete in the regional conference. At this conference, T. Hart, T. Stanfield and J. McDaniel qualified to compete in the state conference. At the state conference, Tim Hart placed 5th in the area of penmanship. ww Officers - First: J. Campbell, President, T. Co-Ed-Y Helps Others CO-ED-Y, formerly known as Tri- Hi-Y, is a Christian youth organization concerned with the development of bettering individuals. This year CO-ED-Y started off by having a canned good drive before Thanksgiving with the benefits going to the Women's Crisis Center of Northern Kentucky. To get in the spirit of basketball homecoming, the club sponsored a HUSH day for all the athletes in our school. Because of inclement weather, CO- ED-Y had to cancel and reschedule their annual car wash several times. Finally in April the car wash was held. The money raised went to the Spirit Scholarship Fund and sent some members to the Youth and Politics Assembly in Lexington, Ky. l ED-Y Officers: First: Chaplain S. Mr. Mayer, advisor, keeps busy thinking of the best way to guide students. FC A Positive Note The purpose of FCA, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, is to help athletes discover the role that Christ plays in athletics. Meetings of FCA were held every two weeks at a member's house. The pur- pose of the club was presented at meet- ings by speakers from churches and professional athletic teams. Group dis- cussions were the usual activity at the meetings. The topics of the organiza- tion included problems that may occur for a high school student through ath- letics, peer pressure or family problems. FCA - First: B. Henley, S. Stull, Second: D.
