TUQEE T coU c1L An Active Year I I- 1 - l N I - '- During the 1982-83 year, Student Council sponsored Sweats Day, Shorts Day, and Christmas Door Decoration. Money made from these activities went toward the Spirit Scholarship Fund. Student Council also organized Football and Basketball Homecoming. Additionally, the club bought a boys and girls basketball game so students could attend for free. The candy sale, held in February, served as Student Council's main fund raiser. The money raised from the candy sale aided in the buying of a tape recorder for the computer, a telephone for the Ben Flora gym, and a film projector. The year ended with the banquet held in the Grandview gym where vf. the installation of the new officers took place. Lili., 'ft 'Q On To Broadway The purpose of Drama Club is to promote an interest in the performing arts and to offer various opportunities for the development of dramatic skills. The club's main event is the Spring musical. This year's play, Bye, Bye, Birdie was a huge success. With director Dan Davies at the helm, the cast and crew performed with an expertise like that of a Broadway production. In addition to putting on the play, the club also attends many shows put on by other schools and groups. ,.. .M ...,.- ,- sg .
