Home Economics ome Economics being a popular area of study at Bellevue, the Homemakers club was composed of thirty-nine members. To encourage togetherness and involvement, the club opened their year with a Halloween Party held at the Fort Thomas Armory on October 28. Members contributed money and baked goods along with enough energy and enthusiasm for hours of volleyball, bowling, fun and frolic. The annual doughnut sale, held on April 3, was an unqualified success, as the Homemakers experienced the fun and teamwork involved in making the goodies for the sale. Homemakers Club also sponsored the Senior Spring Sports Luncheon, while the Home Economics department as a whole held a week long luncheon of it's own, an annual event known widely as Sue's Soup Shop. ,,.o-..s- Pep Club Sparks Tiger Power emonstration and promotion of spirit is the obvious function of Pep Club. Again this year, the club sold booster badges and hung thousands of signs to rally Bellevue teams to spirited victories. In addition, several Pep Club members served as the Tiger mascot, dressing in the Tiger suit to spur on the crowd to greater enthusiasm. Pep Club does not confine its support to sports. The club raised money for Spirit Scholarships with the Spirit Chain contest, and it presented the cast members of Li'l Abner with flowers on opening night in appreciation for their hard work.
