Drama Big Hit in Premier Year ewly organized this year, the Drama Club undertook the enormous task of putting on the first musical at Bellevue in over forty years. Directed by Mr. Dan Davies, AI Capp's Li'I Abner involved members of Drama Club as well as any interested actors or actresses in grades 7 through 12. The play, performed on the nights of March 21 and 22, was received with overwhelming enthusiasm by the school and the community. The club was originally set up to widen students' understanding and appreciation of theater. As a part of it's activities, the club attended several plays at NKU and surrounding schools. By putting on a play such as Li'l Abner, the students not only learned about the ruled and procedures of acting, but they also learned the importance of working together for a common goal. Reflector: Changing With the Decade he Reflector Staff, consisting of fifteen responsible seniors, spends an entire school year designing the yearbook. Much time and effort is spent understanding and applying various copy and layout styles and procedures. Yearbooking involves not only taking pictures, but also selling subscriptions and ads, meeting deadlines, and most of all, learning to work with other people. John Schulte and Mark Culp served the class's needs as Copy and Layout Editors. The responsibility of handling all business matters and bookkeeping went to Business Manager Jenny Diesman. Lora Hasse and Paula Kappes covered the many student activities occurring throughout the year. The action-packed Sports Section was created by Rob Robinson and Kelley Maher. The Classes Section, both large and complicated, kept Sue Johnson and Joy Youtsey quite busy. Laura Koehler and Greg Leopold provided pictures and information on the Faculty and Honors Sections. The unique Seniors Section was developed by Laurie Schuett and Jon Sutkamp. Jeff Sprague and Marilyn Kappesser created the imaginative Ad Section. Below, left: Greg Leopold and Laura Koehler discuss possible layout ideas for the Faculty and Honors Sections. Above, right: Skid Row Bums Jon Sutkamp, Jeff Sprague, and Rob Robinson, take time off to relax and talk about the upcoming game.
