Tigers VVin The VVild West At Homecoming owboys and Indians, floats and banners, and a parade of candidates played an important part in Homecoming on October 12, 1979. Tigers triumphantly captured the spirit of the theme, Tigers Win the Wild West, by succeeding to shoot down the Beechies 14-7. Seniors struck gold by winning the title of Most Artistic for their sparkling banner. Get Out of Town before Sun Downwon FBLA Best Use Theme . The Freshman Class took top honors with their float, Tigers Lasso Beechwood, while the Junior High's Round Up the Beechies placed second Evening festivities successfully ended with the ringing of the Victory Bell, made by B-Club, and a dance at the Ben Flora Gym. Homecoming plans, made by Student Council, brightened a night made dismal by rainy weather. Below, left: Sandy Hill and Mike Kelly dance to the evenings first song as the 1979 Homecoming Queen and King.
