Varsity Football The Bellevue Tigers enjoyed another good season under Coach Norman Deeb, chalking up six wins and three losses. The inexperienced Tigers lost the opening game to Boone County 25 to 13 but came back to upset Holmes and Lloyd by scores of 13-7. The following week the Tigers lost a 35-7 decision to a tough Highlands team. After the Highlands loss, the Tigers settled down to a four game winning streak, beginning with' a defeat over stubborn Campbell County by a score of 13 to 12. The following week they shut out Newport 13-0 although most of the players were suffering from a flu epidemic. One week later the Tigers downed Ludlow 33-13 with the reserves seeing most of the action. The final win was the traditional Bellevue-Dayton game with the Tigers coming out on top 7-O. Bellevue finished the season by losing the final game to Dixie 33-O. The running attack was led by Ierry Dougherty and Don Fagaley. Bob Iones, Ierry Dougherty, Bill Hanson and Dennis Bradford were named on the NKAC team while Bob Iones was named on the A11-State third team. The six Seniors lost through graduation are Chris Christofield, Ierry Dougherty, Don Fagaley, Dave Graham, Don Hoop and Bob lones.
