The primary pur- pose of the club which is part of the world-wide Y or- ganization, is character building. Student librarians are selected each year by Miss Giles to work at different periods during the day. Duties assigned to them consist of checking books in and out, delivering li- brary slips, typing, filing, collecting book fines, straighten- ing shelves and keeping the library in an orderly and attrac- tive manner. Students may go to the library to do reference work, obtain books for outside reading or to use the many periodicals and newspapers which are kept there. LIBRARY Pat Jones, Jackie Banks and Charlene Ruwe are trying to promote Book Week which is observed each year in Novem- ber.
