The two Virginias were re- ally rushed by the avalanche of students buying pencils, paper, and workbooks. Lots of our friends were sitting on the steps, so we went out to visit with them before class. Cars were lined up in front of the building for a long wait until the noon rush.

After finding our home rooms, we visited each class and received brief assignments. BHS seemed to have a special welcome for us. The hall floors gleamed with fresh coats of waxy some of the classrooms were bright with new coats of paintg and the flawless study hall tables invited us to make good use of them. Such good f- grooming and care is the ,ff ' K ag reason that strangers are lr so surprised to hear BHS is twenty years old.
