There were only Two, boTh Bellevue Comefs. Rafher hard on The oTher sTudenTs who saw Their produc- Tions overshadowed. BuT They all agreed ThaT The ComeTs were beT- Ter Than The annuals which They had helped To prepare. Why? Well, in The firsT place a consisTenT plan was developed. Every parT had iTs place and iTs fair proporTion. Then, all The de- Tails were carefully worked ouT. Each capfion was inTeresTing in iT- self, and significanT as a parT of The whole. Administrators Loolc to Future F. D. Swigart, Superintendent E. S. Glasgo, Principal During my tour years ot service in Belle- vue, I have tried to develop a triendly re- lationship between students and taculty, explains Superintendent F. D. Swigart. l am happy that in Bellevue this relationship does exist and that the student teels that his teachers are his helpers and triendsf' With the increased enrollment tollowing the war, Mr. Swigart foresees new build- ings, equipment, and techniques. l-le ex- plains that the proposed improvement com- bined with the tine school spirit ot Bellevue would make B.l-t.S. an even more outstand- ing high school. The tuture is indeed bright under Super- intendent Swigart's leadership. I think there is a detinite need tor a fifth and sixth year ot high-school education, says Principal E. S. Glasgo. l-te explains that as a result ot the war many high schools will otter junior college work. When the supply catches up with the demand tor workers, people will want the boys and girls in school, not competing with labor tor hard- to-tind employment, he continues. As a start, this year tive night-school courses have been conducted tor returning veterans and other adults. This torward-looking, progressive attitude is typical ot Mr. Glasgo. now completing his second year as head ot Bellevue High School. 47 1946 School Board Buys Plot for Stadium Board of Educalion Commillees: TEACHERS: Harland Erl H.
