Kenny Fouts, President, Dave Scholz, Vice-President, Sandra Pearson, Treasurer: Katie Bartels, Secretary: Dale Rocchietti and Carole Stefan Student Council Representatives, gather for an informal class officers meeting. In the four years that we Seniors have been at Bellevue we have had many tirsts that no other class at Bellevue has ever had. We became the first class, from Bellevue, to win the Homecoming float con- test three out of the tour years. We became the first class to have a student teacher, Miss Donna Vance from Omaha University. We were honored by having Bellevue's first Foreign Exchange Student, Anna-Liisa Katainen, In this our last year we participated in many activities. The Sno-Ball and other dances were sponsored by the Senior Class, we were active in sports, music and the various clubs. The royalty and the two big nights of the year, the Junior-Senior Prom and Commencement brought honor to the Senior Class of 1959. ,12-

Her generous smile, her friendly interest in everything and everyone, and her ready acceptance of new customs have made Anna-Liisa one of Bellevue's best liked students. While taking American Government, American History, speech and chorus, Anna-Liisa has been active in debate, and was elected vice-president of the B.H.S. mixed chorus. Confused at times by American slang but openly admiring of Bellevue's school spirit, the easy student-teacher relationship, and the friendliness of our small town -Anna-Liisa considers her year in the U.S. one of the greatest opportunities and honors in her life. -13...
