YOUNG GENTLEMENS' RECREATIONAL ORGANIZATION One of Bellevue Senior High SchooI's major inspirational forces is its Boys' Club, a closely knit group, serving to unite all the boys in the school. Under the leadership of Dennis Gleeson, president, Bucky Llewellyn, vice-president, Mike Strandberg, secretary, and Bob Kitto, treasurer, Boys' Club has had a successful year, This year the club had as its ad- viser Mr. Peters. For the flrst time the club organized a Boy-of-the-Month committee. Pete Peterson served as chairman of the committee and each month a boy was chosen for his honor. From the Senior Boys-of-the-Month a Boy-of-the-Year is chosen. This is the highest honor that a boy can receive in Boys' Club. A new leaf was turned over and the treasury was over- flowing with money! The boys had several different proiects to raise these funds. One was selling coffee and donuts at the adult education classes. Another event was the Christmas dance that was sponsored Iointly by the Girls' and Boys' Clubs. Dad's Night provided a wonderful time for both the boys and their fathers. There was food and entertainment for all.

PURPOSE: SERVICE TO THE SCHOOL The chief ideals and goals of the Loyalty member from ap- plicant, through scraghood, to initiation and full-fledged membership, are work and service. As Mary Constans, club president says, The duty of a Loyalty member is service, be it painting mugs for faculty, enforcing school rules, or usher- ing and selling tickets at games and other activities. The of- ficers this year were: Mary Constans, president, Jessi Leigh- ton, vice-president, Sigrid Solheim, secretary, Margaret King, treasurer, Mikey Upson, historian. Wolverine Guard members are kept on the move fostering school spirit, preserving traditions and serving their alma mater. Gallantry in service, be it escorting the beautiful Homecoming Court, inspiring others to follow school rules or parking cars, is their motto, Perhaps the outstanding enter- tainment of the year is provided by the gooks or new members. The otihcers this year were: Bruce Nurse, chancellor, Mike Riddell, vice-chancellor, Gill McKinstry, scribe, Gary Groth, exchequer and Mr. Terrey and Mr. Jones, advisers. 1 1 1 1 1

15194 GIRLS CLUB t COUNCIL AND , , OFFICERS i YOUNG LADIES' CULTURAL ORGANIZATION There are few clubs in school as active as the Girls' Club. Kept busy by the Big Sister Picnic, the Pranzo, the Christmas Dance, the Tolo and the Mothers' Day Program, the Girls' Club has a place for every girl who wishes to participate in extracurricular activities, lt's no small iob to keep 550 girls on the move, and this year the job was headed by Cathe Muller, president. Mrs. Wieder again served as adviser and the other officers were Beth Seidl, vice-president, Sandy Hall, secretary, Karen Ward, treasurer, and Julia Tam, historian. The first major activity of the year was the Big Sister Picnic, held in August and designed to introduce new girls to Bellevue High School. After school started the girls immediately began work on the Italian dinner, the Pranzo, which for the second successive year was a big success. Silver Bells rang out in December at the annual Christmas Dance. Then on February T3 the girls put on their Tolo. The last rnaior activity of the year was the Mothers' Day Program. It was at this function that the Girl-of-the-Year and next year's officers were an- nounced.
