1 Cameras helped to capture historical Students had a chance this year to witness some strange events, on and off campus. These happenings, whether natural or man¬ made, will stand out in everyone’s memories when they reflect upon this year. At the end of the Christmas vacation many were left without power and or water for several days. This was a result of one of the worst ice storms in many years, knocking down power lines throughout the area. The height of the storm was on New Year’s Eve, putting a damper on many festivities. Even with the bad weather, some of us were able to get out and bring in the New ' Year right. This year also brought us the chance to see an extraordinary ' event, an eclipse, which will not occur again for another forty-nine years. 1. Part of the senior triangle was demolished this year when hit by a car. 2. Many fuse boxes exploded as a result of the New Year’s ice storm. 3. The eclipse of the sun on February 26 could not be watched with the naked eye without the risk of eye damage. It could be viewed, however, with a few precautions. 6 Student Life
