Football games gave us a chance to sit with our friends and cheer for victory. 4. To socialize after the first game, there was always the Football Frolic.

Skill helped students gain recognition 1. Five of our student were selected as Youths of the Month. They were Jeff Boyles, Kris Kaiser, Sandy Norton, Sue Payne and Terry Davlnroy. 2. Sue Payne was chosen as Belleville’s Junior Miss and later went on to become Illinois’ first runner-up. 3. This year’s math team, which partlpated in many contests throughout the area, were (Bottom Row) Amy Boyles. Kathy Lin, Mary Bucknell. Laura Culli, Dave Thompson, Jerry Davis, and Tracy Rainwater, (Second Row) Ethan Edwards, Mary Carty, Danielle Rawlings, Karen Williams, Payton Wieland, and Brian Williams, (Top Row) Jeff Boyles, Rich Henry, Robert Law, Glenn Hell, Bonnie Weiss, and Karen Kuntsman. 4. Kris Kaiser and Bob Cusack were this year ' s DAR Good Citizenship recipients. 5. Norman Dahm and Dave Harris finished high in the state wrestling finals, both winning sixth-place medals. 6. National Merit award winners were (Bottom Row) Tcna Edwards and Ralph Nromington, (Top Row) Doug Stewart and Bert Gonzales. Tena and Bert were semi-finalists; Ralph and Doug won commendation. 3 4 10 Awards
