I had a real surprise today at the office. A very pleasant lady came in to see the doctor. Her little girl was not well. After talking to her ldiscovered she was an old school mate of mine, Pauline Peachey. She is now living on a farm in Stone Valley. She was doing some shopping here in Harrisburg today. She told me that Ruth Hartzler and Mary Mae Zook are successful nurses at the Lancaster General Hospital, Raymond Esh is now nqarried and is the owner of a trucking corporation in Lewistown, and Betty Sau 'il is a secretary to a lawyer right here in Harrisburg and I didn't even kno Saturday, November 24, Dear Diary, Dr. Hammerman's new nurse arrived today and what a surprise to find it was Audrey Miller. We had lunch together and I got more news about my old class mates. Jean Mateer and Pat Deeg are nurses at the John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Marlin Stumpff is now a Captain in the'U. S. Navy and J-im Griffith is Sergeant inthe U. S. Army. S Sunday, November 25, Dear Diary, Day off. Audrey and Imotored to Belleville for the day. A new church was erected there so we went there for church. We ,m t some more old classmates. Paul Payne, their new pastor, and a success- farmer, greeted us at the door. .lean Harmon was visiting there, too, and ' vited us to her home for dinner. Idticertainly was a good dinner. Jealnis Qnow the teacher at the new Home Economics School in Huntingdon. She it that Rosann Zook is a music teacher and is living in Reedsville, and that Duane Fleming is a successful Certified Public Accountant in laiancaster, Pa. Monday, November 26, Dear Diary, Picked up the Philadelph uirer and to my surprise I learned that Don Maclay is now the editor of tliiisgnegyspaper. Went to hospital to see, a friend and learned that she had a very googiinurse attending her. This nurse was Sally Bailey. I learned from her that .Tim Corbin. w ow in the U, S. Navy. ITEM I To our teachers of Menno-Union High School, who have helped fpushedl us through these years, we extend our appreciation and thanks for the efforts put forth by them in order for us to achieve our goal ------- Graduation. ITEM II To the Class of '53 we will our fondness for class plays and the thoughts of a fine and glorious graduation. We also bequeath to them the privilege of publishing the next Kishaco Quill. To the Class of '54 we will our spirit of co-operation and our loyalty to M.U.H.S. To the Class of '55 we will three more glorious years of high school and hope you enjoy them as much as we did. Don Maclay leaves his ability to get A's to Kerry Wagner. Pauline Peachey wills her ambition to become a wife to Donna Yoder. Ramone Stewart is to inherit Pat Deeg's fondness for Greenwood. Marlin Stumpff leaves his ability to play basketball to Don Crownover. Jim Griffith's love of hunting during school hours is inherited by Harry Long. Sally Bailey wills her red hair and freckles to anyone who wants them. Paul Payne's love of arguing is to be inherited by Nancy Garrett. Audrey Miller leaves her love for the Belleville boys to Mary Blaine. Rose Zook wills her comb and mirror to Shirley Treaster.
