Main activities of their freshmen year were a visit to the Pennsylvania State Farm Show and a moon- light hike up Stone Mountain. The activities of the second high school year were a visit to the state capital, atour of Gettysburg, a day at the Pennsylvania State Farm Showg moonlight hike up Stone Mountain, and the trip to Washington D. C. The third high school year found them consolidated with Union Township. In Union Township the first graders were in charge of Miss I-Ionoure. Most of this same group passed the high-school entrance test. As freshmen they were initiated at the Halloween Party by the seniors. Our sophomore year we sold Christmas cards and received our class hats after choosing our colors, blue and steel. The junior year we consolidated with Menno Township. As the first junior class of the Menno-Union High School we were busy selecting pennants and rings, and in the spring selling Easter candy and producing a junior class play, Double Trouble, under the direction of Miss Jones. We gave a Junior-Senior Prom which we thought was very successful. In 1951 eighteen seniors were enrolled on the first day of school. Initiation of the freshmen, senior class play, and the selling of Christmas candy kept the seniors busy the first half of the year. They are now looking forward to the trip to Washington and graduation. 13 ... m y Y, , E-973 51453. 'T V Q gn- .3 - D In --'--5 f - - , jf! W ,g 4 '- . - . I .
