In September coach Harry Hidenfelter well remembered for his athletic prowess and achievements of past years was appointed head football coach. Coach I-lidenfelter's methods speak for themselves as he continued to build like Jack Weiss, his predecessor, a sound fundamental foundation and the surging desire to win the members of the squad. Lack of experience and weight in the line proved a Co-captain Chuck Waite handicap. Despite the unpromising situation a well 1 ...-f coached, but under rated Tiger grid iron finished their season by soundly defeating their biggest rival Romulus 18-13. This was the first time in eleven years Belleville defeated Romulus. Here they are the rah rah girls whom we see cheering so energetically at all of our athletic games. There is one cheerleader that you don't see down front at the games, but she is always on hand with her assistance and advice - it is Mrs. Margaret Ludlum, sponsor.
