Cerny, NL 6. -0 C55 4191 91 P191 AP9' law, has ligvfk egg ? 1:1- juniors It seems like just a short time ago that we were one of the younger classes of the junior high, looking forward with great expectations and con- fidence to the time when we would become high school people with all the dignity and worth that goes with that coveted title. But the time passed quickly as it does when one is kept busy, and, be- fore we know it, we had been initiated by the class of '47, and were well started on our high school career. Things happened rapidly and gloriously for a while as we enjoyed the feeling of being a part of the high school, and in a short time we were nearing the end of the year. The following year brought still more fun, but also a good share of hard work. Among our first projects was the Freshman initiation, and, a little later on, a dance called 'The Tulip 'I'rample , Following this came the wonderful time when we were presented with our long-awaited class rings: it was a happy moment when we proudly displayed them to our friends. The year drew to a close with a glorious trip to jefferson Beach, where we all had a good time and many happy memories were made. Barrett, C. Budrich, R. Christ, C. Baurn, J, Bennett, Bo Cannis, D. VW And then came our junior year. At last we felt we were nearing our goal. The year was comprised of many activities, dances, banquet, junior Play, everything that makes 'the junior year amemorable one. The 'QI-Hop , Uungle Hopj, with scenery representing an Africanjungle scene, was a great social success, the junior sweaters arriv- ed with their fitting emblems and the junior Play 'Lunatics At Large , after a good deal of hard work, effort, and rehearsal, was finally proclaim- ed a good performance. Several important class meetings were called for the purpose of discuss- --w-.-N-,v---T-vw vvv... ing necessai-y'business transactions as the respon- sibilities and activities of the class grew larger in number. A reliable company was selected to take the graduation pictures of the class during their senior year, and, among other activities of the year, the class went to the Olympia Stadium in Detroit and saw the 1947 Roller Skating Follies. The year closed with the traditional junior-Senior Banquet. And now, upon looking back at the last three years of school, we are able to say with sincerity that they have been happy and eventful years, and that in years to come they will be happy memories to recall.
