GQSJ jlgslofy In the fall of 1953 thlrty s1x freshmen some walkmg others rrdrng the school bus or r1d1ng rn the famrly car hurrred to school to start thelr four long years at Bellevrlle I-hgh School We were green freshmen untrl we were rnrtrated in October Our class sponsored many dances after home games One year was gone now and all thrrty three of us were back ready to start our second year toward our goal rn lrfe That year we had the thnll of mlrratrng the green freshmen We sponsored a soc hop and many other dances In September 1955 thrrty three students walked through the doors know rng they had only two years of hrgh school left Durmg that year we had two brg hlghlrghts one berng homecom1ng and the other prom We had the brggest homecomrng parade ever put on by the Jumor class Our prom Hawa11an Paradrse was also a brg success Nell Brunner was elected edrtor of the yearbook For our frnal year thrrty two walked hurrredly toward the doors of Belle v1lle I-hgh School knowmg thxs was their last but most rmporrant year Dunng the frrst week of school we elected class offrcers the same people were elected because of the f1ne Job they had done In October we were grven three days off to have our class prctures taken at New Glarus Different groups went each day Carol Goodman was chosen homecom1ng queen by the football team She rergned over the homecomrng parade and dance Other semor members of the court were Monte Olson and 11m Cockroft We followed the tradrtron of havlng a semor class play l-hllbtlly Weddrn was a blg success and lots of fun To make more money for our class tr1p we sponsored a Chill supper on January 30 1957 Four years of work pard off 1n our tr1p to Chrcago on May 23 and 24 The class of 1957 recerved therr drplomas at the graduatron exercrses on May 31 1 ' n n 1 N W . . . . n ' 1 ' ' ' ' n u n n ' v p . , , . . . . . 0 . . . .
