Thomas J. Gallagher 34 Hornblower Avenue Commercial Course Tall, red-headed and Irish... Tom says he wants to be a cop . . . he'll make a perfect one, hates to study especially Eng- Iish...can be put in a good mood by the strains of Rose O'Day . . . likes senior science ...in sports likes especially basketball and football . . . nev- er misses Kay Kyser's program. Eleanor Galleri 248 Washington Avenue General Course A grand sport just bubbling over with vitality . . . yes, that's El. . .a whiz at making bas- kets but she would much rather play basketball the way the boys do...El is also one of the very capable assistant librarians our school has... conceited, l should say not... girls with her personality are rare. Virginia M. Gannon l30 Union Street College Course Always talking but we'll for- give her knowing what a lot of fun she is to have around ...manages to get in trouble all the time . , . a startling per- sonality and a nifty dresser describe her best . . . interested in dramatics and with good reason too having been an out- standing member of our Dra- matic Club. .loe Gardi 61 Little Street General Course A quiet fellow with a friendly disposition interested in swimming and basketball like most boys . . . movies keep him busy too. . . found law to be his most interesting subject during his senior year . . . hasn't decided about his future yet . . . doesn't mind going to school but is not fond of the home- work. 28 1?- Teresa Garruto I9 King Street Commercial Course Terry is crazy about seeing orchestra leaders in person . . . her favorite is Vaughn Monroe . . . loves to ice skate and goes whenever she gets the chance ...is a faithful rooter for our football eleven . . . Walter Garvey 39 Prospect Place General Course Jim . . . it's a mystery- to us too but that's what he's called ...we call him an easy-going fellow with a super talent for drawing . . . just to prove it he had the honor of receiving a Scholastic award in his junior year for one of his drawings . . . thinks he might like to be a draftsman . . . did drawings for the Monad. Theodore W. Geiser l4l Forest Street College Course Florence Gelok 23 Terrace Place Commercial Course Ted's a Dodger fan . . . also quite an actor . . . can't keep track of the number of school plays he's been in . . .says he likes dancing if he could only dance...will talk with any- body on any subject and all believe what he says . . . want to make him happy.. .just give him a dish of spaghetti and meat balls. Just give Flo a horse and sad- dle and she'll be happy . . . be- lieves in that old saying that a dog is man's best friend . . . hates to be called Red ... insists her hair is blonde... Glenn Miller takes first place on her list of bands.,.an- other baseball fan who roots for the Giants even if they don't win.

Griffin 28l Hornblower Avenue General Course Anchors Aweigh . . . here's a navy-minded fellow who likes his sleep . . . favorite subjects in school were history and gym . . . doesn't care to watch sports but glad to take part in any basketball game . . . enjoys the movies too.. . likes to eat al- most anything so here's a hint to you girls who can cook. 30 Ruth Guldner 543 Union Avenue College Course Came to us from Number Five ...was in the Glee Club and often heard lending her voice to their vocal interpretations ...collects records and in her spare time does designing... main dislike is oranges . . .a sweet girl who's been quiet but well liked by all who know her . . . Newark State Teachers' College is her goal. Betty L. Gruman 235 Overlook Avenue College Course Who was that young lady knitting that pair of socks all those months . . . why Betty, of course . . . and besides her knit- ting she's been kept pretty busy in school . . . a senate member in her freshman and junior years . . . a faithful spec- tator at all our games . . . con- fidentially, she's a fiend about chow mein too. Dudley Hack 43 Preston Street College Course Biff, bang, boom . . .'that's Dud engineering mechanics . . . gets away from it all and goes hik- ing and camping . . . a pioneer ...has a liking for trombon- ing . . .singing might shed some light on the want-to-be-alone attitude . . . anyway he's fond of loud socks . . .will surely be a source of pride to his alma mater.
