Dedication The Senior Class of 1969 takes great pleasure In dedicating the Tower to Lyn Matteson Sr. who has driven bus for Belleville Union Academy for the past twenty-four years. Lyn attended school at the Academy until he was forced to drop out to help support his family. He served four years In the Coast Guard at Big Sandy and lived on a farm In the village of Belleville for thirty-one years. After a fire at the farm, he sold It to his son and he and his wife now reside In Belleville. Besides his regular bus run, Lyn has driven bus eighteen times for the annual Senior trip. He also has driven the kinder- garten bus, the vocational bus to Watertown, spectator buses, team buses, and made many other special bus trips. He has also served as school oustodlan and as deputy at school dances. The class of 69 find that they are greatly Indebted to Lyn, not only for the service he has rendered to them and the rest of the school, but because of the wonderful friendship he has given to each person. Members of the class of 1969 value this friend- ship and they hope by dedicating the 1969 Tower to Lyn, It will serve as a tribute of their friendship for him.
