Senior Play On November 2 and 3 the senior class presented SUPERSTITIOUS SADIE , a three act farce. The play centered around the superstitions of Sadie Suggs, a simple soul from the hills. Iris Ashford had a beau, Ramon de Castano, and Georgia May and Judy, her two daughters, try to break them up. With the help of Ranee and Tommy Ralston, they succeed. At the same time there's a rumor around that ghosts inhabit the house. Calory, the colored cook, tries to conjur them. When Uncle George and Aunt May, who hate each other, arrive, the whole family tries to keep the apart. Of course, the family has trouble from Mrs. Meechum and Lawyer Chadd as they want to buy the house and make some money because a resort is going to be built on the sight of the property. The play proved to be very sucessful and received many compliments from the audience. It netted a total of $375.50 for the class trip this June.

She drove to the Jet - Ter-Inal at Belleville where she foun' Joan Brown selling tickets and left for Alaska at 8:25 A.M. and arrived at 8:26 A.M. In Nome. She was met at the air- port by Dan Lee, who gave her a demonstration ride on one of his motorcycles he was selling the Eskimos. He took her to the Rogers Hilton Hotel managed by none other than John Rogers. She decided to take a sight-seeing tour and to her surprise her guide was Frank Anzalone. At the first Igloo they passed Steve Oobb emerging after completing his first sale of a frost-free refrigerator to an Es- kimo. Continuing their tour they came across the Lost Chance Mine operated by John hedwav. As they went further from town they came across a missionary out- post where they found Melinda Alford teaching the natives how to play the organ. After a short stop here they returned to town. On the way they passed the Shultz Ice Co. operated by Ronnie Shultz with Dally working for him as secretary. When they got closer to town, they came across a dairy farm operated by Les Hobbs. Ihey were joined by Marlin Nohle who was delivering milk. When they entered town they stopped at the Kulvana Research Lab. where they found Frank Mulvana and Joe Burley working on a way to make Metrecal out of whale oil. At the hotel, Mrs. Eastman was entertained by a guitar player, David Richardson. 7ne next day she left for Ankorage by dog sled driven by Dwight Stagnar. On the way, they met foe HullIn, a forest ranger, laying out homestead sites. Approaching Ankorage, they passed the Northern Lights Lanes , a bowling establishment operated by Dan Larmon. In town they went past an auction run by John Gorton who was selling sled dogs trained by James L. Cobb. She attended a fashion show where John Kilburn, a reporter was covering the event. To her astonishment, she found the models were Sharon Stiles and Brenda Richmond modeling parkos designed by Joyce Nutting and made by Mary Thompson. When she left the show, she met Janet Patten and a troop of her Girl Scouts on an Alaska hike. As Mrs. Eastman boarded the bus for her return trip home, she discovered that the bus driver was Harmon.. Dlngman. Upon her arrival at Belleville, she thought back at the wonderful time and her meeting with the Class of '63.
