PROPHECY In 1977, Mrs. Eastman decided to vacation on the noon. She drove to the rocket terminal in Belleville where she was surprised to find Pam Pel ton selling tickets. Upon boarding the rocket, she noticed that the stewardess looked very familiar and, upon investigation, she realised it was Ellen Jantzi. As they blasted off, the pilot spoke to them and she rec- ognised the voice as that of Herman Kleiboer. After she was permitted to unfasten her seat belt, she went up front to visit Herman. When she got there she was surprised to learn that Herman was substituting for Dick Overton who was on vacation at Venus. Returning to her seat, she met Mike Gaetano, who was on his way to the moon to set up radio static UAB. While talking to Mike, Mrs. Eastman realised that the pretty young girl sitting with him was none other than Sue Clark who was Mike's secretary. When they stopped at the space station to refuel she discovered Jim Bailey as Chief Engineer in charge of refueling. Upon getting out to get a bit of fresh air she ran into Chuck Pratt who was testing a new brand of gravity shoes designed by Linda Dyer. By then it was time to board the rocket again, and within a half hour they had landed on the moon. After checking in at a hotel, Mrs. Eastman decided to take a sight-seeing tour. She discovered that the guide was Brian Hough who was in charge of all tours on the moon. The first stop on her trip was an inspection of the first hospital to be built on the moon. While walking down the corridor she saw a glass door on which was printed the name Carolyn Nohle, Social Worker. Carolyn told Mrs. Eastman her present problem was trying to solve the inferiority complex that the moon people felt over their green complexion. Her next stop was at the Laboratory, where she found the Lab Technician, Judy Tiff, busily counting green blood tissues. As Mrs. Eastman glanced through the window of the Operating Room she saw Bonnie Bovee and Nancy Overton arguing over which side the patient's appendix was on. Upon investigation she found the patient was Gary Brown. Leaving the hospital, Mrs. Eastman saw a familiar face; it was Tim Simpson delivering milk. He told her he was working for Bud Towles who had the only dairy farm on the moon, consisting of 6 cows. Next, she visited the school. She found the only teacher to be Barbara Taylor who was busily teaching the natives to talk constantly. Since Mrs. Eastman could not get a word in edgewise, she de- cided to relax in a beauty shop. To her astonishment she found the beautician to be none other than Sheila Seamans. While her hair was being dried, she was entertained by the famous model, Joan Cobb, whose current job was showing the latest styles in women's space After having had such an interesting trip, and having met all of the Class of '62, she went back to Belleville via moon rocket. Many pleasant memories of her first rocket trip and the Class of 19 2 went with her. ALMA MATER There's a place we call Old Union A spot our hearts hold dear, Though our feet in paths afar from her may roan; There's a hand outstretched to point us To ways of truth and right, There's a loving voice that calls her children hone. Chorus: Then hail to thee, Old Union Though we be far or near. Our hearts will cry, Thou art our mother yet! Thy loving precepts ever Inspire our souls to right; We may leave thee, but we never can forget. 13
