1f fc 0 Pro hcc ,,r' 4t'n' T57 1 5-4 .tx One day in the spring of 1977, Mrs Lastman decided to take a trans continental tour from ber bore at no Park Avenue, New York City She called for a taxi and was surprised mhen Morris Golden roared up to a screeching stop in his l9Ll Ford as the cabbie Finally they arrived at Grand Central Station whose name had recently been changed to Reggie Central Station run bv our great president Ronnie Ro 1 Once aboard the train, she settled down to a quiet tra n r de All at once she was interrupted by a voice at her side asking if she negro naid on the train She liked the part in the senior play so much that she decided to use it as her profession The first stop was Detroit where she saw Keith Fuller. Keith had been left in Detroit when the seniors drew straws to see who would have to stay behind because of lack of substantial funds on the senior trip Her next stop was in California where she spotted Pat Mason and Carolvn Brown coming back from a practise of the Four Belles They I lted her to dinner at their house, where she renewed acquaintances with Pete and Don The next evening she ate dinner at Dick's Hash House, run by Richard Hudson, who couldn't seen to forget the Meadowbrook During her stay in California, she had the opportunity of riding in the Gold Cadillac with Brenda Poor who had been selected as Queen for a Day The next morning, she boarded her plane for Texas Just before landing at El Paso, she spotted Ral h Whitle cruising along in his pink cadillac among his many oil wel s Dave Brown met her at the plane and took her to Melody Ranch which he was managing for the retired Gene Autry Dave took her to an evening performance of the Texas Rangerettes, where she met Max Bovee, their instructor Since teaching had not paid as well as he expected, Max had taken his master's degree in Ballet, and, still a bachelor, was pursuing that highly paid profession The next day, Max arranged to take Mrs Eastman to visit Harry Dowker's world famous dude ranch, The Painted Gal Texas life was agreeing with Harry, who now weighed 350 pounds, and stood 6 feet 10 inches in his stocking feet He laughed at his old ambition of being a draftsman, for he really believed he had become a true Texan On her way to Florida, Mrs Eastman stopped off to visit the Mardi Gras in New Orleans, and to spend a few days with David Hedger, who was now spending a lazy, leisurely life of retirement after selling his exporting business Dave had been very much interested in selling horse neat, and found himself owner of a horsemeat syndicate Arriving in St Petersburg, Florida, Mrs Eastman was met b Lawerence Clark whose early dreams had Peelly COm6 true for he WHS owner and manager of the YSHKSB baseball Club, taking over for Casey Stengel The club was now in spring training On her way north she stopped in Washington to see the cherry blo soms, and read in the paper that David Kru cale was a chemist employed at the Pentagon working on a new atom c project She had lunch with him at the airport before leaving for New York, thus bringing to a close a most enjoyable tour 12 I I ,I 4 'O 10 4' ,, fl-- pie I 035, it Y 44' 7 lx 9 'V ' . Scmor Pla On November 16 and 17, the senior class presented the three act comedy, Good Graclous, Grandma , under the direction of Mrs Eastman This play was set in the living room of apartment No 5, Lennox Apart ments Henry and George Breckenridge are cousins who hate to work They find themselves in a state of financial embarrassment when Mrs Lennox, their landlady,demands a deposit on their overdue rent Avail able money arrives by wire when an old family friend telegraphs ex pense money for Henry's father to entertain the friend's two daughters over a weekend They need the money but Henry's father is in Mexico and they don't have a chaperone The obstacle is overcome when P Sam the colored house boy, flnds a gray wig and a black dress on the ground outside the apartment house The fun begins when George becomes Grand ma and Henry has to outwit Mrs Lennox The play had its share of romance and hilarious scenes The cast consistedof Ronald Reggie, Garolyn Brown, Max Bovee, Uavid Krupcale, Harry Dowker, Davld Hedger, Brenda Poor, Keith Fuller, Patricia Mason and Dorothy Lewis. The stage crew was comoosed of Keith Fuller and Morris Golden The play netted the class the all time high of 351451 20. 4? ' 2 11
