SHDE? SPORTS B. H. S. saw a decided upturn in sports during the 1939-40 season. Inaugurating his twelfth year at B. H. S, Coach Dodd presented teams in both football and basketball that paid large dividends. K , Ollie .JOE 'E' In football, the Chieftains chalked up eight victories in nine attempts, surpassing all other previous B. H. S. football records. In basketball, the Chieftains won the Southwestern District Championship for the second consecutive year. There were many other records set too numerous to mention.
