Wie stop at the general store which is now owned and operated by Joan Cummings and her husband whose name we will not disclose at this time. Joan tells us that Loretta Sink is now running the cafe that Alpha had at the time we were here. Alpha has bought out the Howard johnson line and now lives in Florida. Martha Goodpaster is an old maid and runs a registered goose farm to support herself and the sixty-three cats and dogs which are her pets. Talking to Martha we find that Judy Allee, Joanne Buis, and Lola Snapp run the dog pound in Indianapolis. These three were recently named the Hound-dog Sisters of 1979 by the Humane Society. Sharon Phillips makes her home in Hollywood where she now has her third husband. Number one was Yul Brennen, two was Xaiver Cugart, and her present one Walter Brenner. It is rumored that she has broken up with Walter and claims she is going to return to Belle Union broken hearted to live the rest of her life alone. Byron and Myron have left Belle Union and are soldiers of fortune traveling the world over hunting, fishing, and of course dating rare exotic beauties throughout the world. It looks like they'll never get married. CWho blames them? Jim Hurst lives on the edge of Belle Union where his wife and eighteen children own a mink farm. jim owns a 350,000 home, a Cadillac, and a resort in Florida. It has been said that Jim is the richest man in Putnam County. We visit jim and ask him about john Crosby. He tells us that john is a Major in the Army fSalvation Armyl and is making a real life for himself and family. At Christmas he plays Santa Claus in front of Blocks at Indianapolis. Bob Terry owns a one thousand acre farm south of Belle Union. Bob started with a five-acre plot and a chicken house and through the years he has bought out the sur- rounding farms and has the largest farm in this area. He specializes in growing tur- nips. He now has around nine hundred acres out in turnips. Emil McCammack has started a beauty salon'and college in Belle Union. It is called the House of Emil. It is the only one like it in the United States. He special- izes in hair styles for the male. The Toni people have made Emil an honorary member of the board of directors. We then go just outside of Belle Union and find Mr. Collins and his wife and their 20 children living on a 10-acre chicken farm where his chickens have multiplied to 5,000.
