Dear Seniors: If you can treasure friendships and store away happy mem- ories of them against the times of troubleg If you can preserve a keen sense of humor as a buffer against life's irritationsg If you can do small things graciously, If you can adjust yourself uncomplainingly to new sit- uations, even if not of your own choice, If you can judge kindly, making all due allowance for different viewpoints and training, If you'can cultivate a sensitivity to the feelings of others, that you will never unwittingly hurt them, If you can love all with whom you come in contact as deeply as you can, feeling that by so doing you may be able to counteract some of the hate in the world, and lastly, feeling that you have given only the talent of being kind, Then, my children, you will be able to go out into the big wide world and lead a successful life.
