CLASS POEMS While you are reading this memory book, Take out a little time, To read about each Senior, In a little form of rhyme. Bobby Ziegelman, president of our class, He's awful smart, so you'll know he'll pass In basketball, he can't be beat, But while in school, he likes to eat. Leon Phillips, who likes to miss school, Now don't you think he obeys the rules When school is out, he'll work on a farm, So if he gets married, don't be alarmed. Well what do you know, its Bob DePew, He's also one of that Senior crew A race driver some-day, he wants to be, So out on the track, Bob you will see. Morris Williamson, of course, will marry some-day, From the looks of things, he's not far away And when he's married and all settled down, He'll find each Senior dropping around. Shirlie Dorsett, she's tall and neat, In picking a friend, she can't be beat She likes the balconys in the shows, That is when Bob takes a notion to go. Gloria McCammack, is everyones pal, We'll all admit, she's one swell gal We don't know what she plans to do, But whatever it is, she'll see her way through, Waneta Nichols, a sweet lass, She's the Sec. and Treas. of our class A great big wedding is coming her way, And she plans to make her home in Stilesville some day Margaret Hurst, is a very fine girl, She keeps all the Seniors in a whirl What ever profession she may choose, We know she'll never have the blues. And now Mrs. Hodge, we can't let her pass, She's really been swell, to the Senior Class In chosing a sponsor, she can't be beat, For working with her, has been a treat.

PROPHECY Tlme, like a mighty river, flows on unceasingly until the tale of the years are told. Nothing is accomplished by looking backward, The things we wish to accomplish lie ahead. And although our peephole into the future is small, and our vision is dim, yet we delight to predict the futurity of ourselves, the Senior Class of 1949. Waneta, our small and lively lass, Will hold down a job with some class. She wishes always to be kind and true, And never intends to make us blue. She wants to be a homemaker some day. We wish her success in every way. And then there's Bob--better known as Chubby, Who won't have time to be a hubby, For the SOO Mile Speedway Race Is waiting for him to join the pace, Our hats off to him to be the winner, For we've heard from him as just a beginner, Margaret Ann, our carefree gal, Is to all a dear ole pal. A job in town she aims to hold down, Until some Romeo comes around, Then she will surely say UI don, And live in a cottage and never be blue. Morris already has his future in hand, For marriage to Juanita is what he has planned. We wish him happiness every day, . A And hope their lives will be perfect in every way. For with her ever at his side, He takes all things in his stride.
