He sees how nature operates in producing a field of wheat corn or cottaa or a grove of oranges. But it never occurs to him that the brain operates in much the same way in creating ideas. He knows that a field must be cultivated and prepared for any crop. He knows that seed must be planted and the ground fertilized in order to replace the minerals removed from it in gre ing 1t' a previous crop. He does not realize that the brain nust be cultivated and ideas planted in it in order to produce a mental crop. The undeveloped brain is like an uncultivated field. It is as unproductive as a desert. It remains that way until it is cultivated and ideas properly planted. What knowledge you have at this moment, and how you think, are THE EXACT RESULTS OF THE EDUCATION you have acpuired. Look back over your education so far. .Get a mental picture of it Then contrast your ability today with your ability after you have completed some special course in education. and then after you have had ten years of experience in buslness. You will see a great difference. To see these pictures clearly you must use your imagination. The mind must be submitted to an educative process before it can complete its development.
