The Dragons wound up with a record of six wins and two losses. They were the winners of the new Southern Four Conference. Not only did they have a fine season, but they learned man new things in the line of sportsmanship. They learned that victory was not the only goal to be achieved, but to practice clean and fair play through every game. The 1951 Dragons worked hard to accomplish this record and they leave a trophy to remind all the future foot- ball players of Belle Plaine High School of the 1951 season.
