SENIOR CLASS PLAY I REMEMBER MAMA” STANDING: M. Meierbachtol, J. Steffen, W. Stier. SITTING: M. Redman, B. Witt, J. Schmidt, G. Diers, K. Oelfke. The class of '65, directed by Mr. Delgehausen, presented I Remember Mama, a play set in a working man's home in the turn of the century of San Francisco. Mama is the typical American mother of the time - the force that binds the family together. She holds her composure throughout numerous incidents that would make a lesser creature cringe. Even when the family finances are in dire straits, she manages to see the good in the gentleman boarder who swindled the family out of $100, but left them with a thirst for good literature. And when Katrin, the eldest, decides to gain fame and fortune as author, it is Mama who shoves the career over the brink.
