The Council, with the help of their advisors, Mr. Harold Albrecht and Mr. Hugh Johnson, started the year with a campaign throughout the student body for the election of a Student Council President. This aroused a great deal of interest and enthusiasm on the part of the student body for their select candidate. After carrying the campaign for one week the students went to the polls and elected Prudy Taylor the presi- dent for the student council this year. The following elections found Paul TilIquist filling the office of Vice President, Sharron Willson as Secretary and Mary Lou Flaherty as the Treasurer. Again as in the past the Student council was divided into five stand- ing committees which did many jobs to help better the school. The Council also sponsored two noon-hour dances a week. One of the activities that the Council did throughout the entire year was to run the concession stand at all of the home ballgames. All in all the year has been very gratifying and successful.
