Freshman Initiation The annual Freshman Initiation was held October 10, 1950 in the high schoom gym. The Sophomore Class was host to the Freshmen. The Initiation lasted one day and one evening. The daytime initiation was based upon appearance such as dress. The girls supposedly were to look like old ladies. The boys were half and half - they looked like a painted doll combined with an old tramp. . Together they looked like they had escaped from Lima State Hospital. The evening program began with group games. A worm eating contest was held next as part of the initiation, but soaked spaghetti was used in place of worms. The evening concluded with delicious refreshments consisting of ham salad sandwiches, potato chips, and cider. The Freshmen left the party feeling they were full pledge high school members. F. F. A.
