Class Diary of the Future Time: June, 1961 The owner of the Diary is Marion McFarland, Class of 1951. It was written on his performance tour of the United States. He is now a world renowned magician. .Tune 1: Detroit-As I stepped off the train platform with my beautiful assistant, Joann Ross, I was handed a letter from David Brandyberry, the new President of the Lockheed Airplane Inc. That evening we had dinner with Jack Kerns, now a famous radio announcer. June Z: Cleveland--We borrowed Jack's car and drove to Cleveland early this morning. I got tickets for the Cleveland Indians Baseball Game in the afternoon. We were very surprised to see Tom Millin as he played third base for the Indians. In this game, Tom acted as nervous as a kitten. After the game, when we talked with him, I found out the reason. His wife, Brenda QMyersJ, was in the hospital making Tom a father. .Tune 5: Chicago--This afternoon we had some spare time, so we decided to visit the Public Library. What do you think we saw? Marilyn Rockhold was the chief libra- rian. After seeing the sights of Chicago, we were asked to go to the home of Alice fTempletonQ and her husband for dinner. Alice is the owner of a small hat shop in Chicago. Some of her own creations have reached the Paris Fashion Shops. June 10: Belle Center--The first stop we made was the Elm Cafe. There we were surprised to see Gerald I-Iouchin in the uniform of the U. S. Army Air Force. After talking with him, I found that he had been in the army since he graduated from West Point. I-Ie is now a Three-Star General. Before we left, Rosella Willeke came in. I understand she has been teaching the third grade here in Belle Center for five years. In the afternoon, I went to Kenton. On the way I passed two very beautiful farms. Later I found out from Kenny Hesser that one was owned by Virginia lFaberj and her husband, Bob Morris. Kenny said the other one was his. While in Kenton, I ran into Peggy QPricej and her husband. They are the proud parents of five children. After I got back to Belle Center, I decided to visit the office of the Herald Voice. I found that Rosella fKrockl was the Editor-in-Chief of the local paper. June 14: Columbus--Had some time, so we went through the Capitol Building. We were very happy to find that Donna Minter was a beautiful secretary to the governor. We could very easily see that she is a very hard worker and always got to the Core of her work. '-i June 18: Denver--Imagine our surprise when we saw Coral Lease in the front row of the theater. We understand she lives here now. June 21: Salt Lake Citye-On our way West, we stopped to see the Great Salt Lake. After a long ride we enjoyed a dinner with Jean Zahller, who is now the head nurse in a large Salt Lake City hospital. June 27: Los Angeles--Just as we were leaving we met Alice fPatrickj, who is the happy mother of three children. June 30: Hollywood--We went to see Paul Krouse's latest picture. He is a famous movie star, and also the best dressed man in Hollywood. Daun McPherson, who is now one of MGM's leading cartoonists, entertained us for the evening at his Beverly Hills estate. A Wednesday, January 10, 1951 at 7:30 P. M. the Senior Class and their sponsor, Miss Dixon were served a very appetizing dinner at the Kenton Country Club with our host being Mr. James Stephey.
