But there is a special note about that Chalice. ln its base is an ivory cameo over two hundred aml fifty years old. It eame from Mon- serrat in Spain where Ignatius first experieneed his celebrated Spiritual Exercises. It was given to Fr. John hl4:.4sloekerl SJ., by the Rocca fam- ily, lineal descendants of the first Spanish Governor of California. The cameo itself pictures Our Lady of Monserrat. Another item of note in the Chal- ire is the gold from a eh ain pre- sented by the Czar of Russia for ex- traordinary heroism. Uther pieces include a gold fire medal presented for bravery, an Odd l ellou's medal, 52 wedding rings, elass pins, aml keepsakes.
