D 5,1 ---Q1 75 ,r Y if xv The Bellarmine Varsity Water Polo team, under the coaching of Bruce Watson, underwent a somewhat dismal season in what . cs has proven to be one of the school's Y most successful sports. With no returning lettermen from last year's nationally ranked team, the Bells watched their high hopes dwindle to a disappointing record of four wins and thirteen defeats. The highlight of the season was a six to four victory by the Bells over previously unbeaten SPAL champions Leland High. Consistent scoring came from Ken Favaro, Terry Reding and Drew Levinson. The Bellarmine Cross Country team entered the season with high hopes. Five top runners of the previous year were expected to return. However, three of these five did not run. Senior Ralph Paredes, Juniors Dan Greaney, Jim Fitzhenry and Bob Navarrete, and Sophomore Larry Good tried to take up the slack, but they could only win a disappointing fifth place. Perhaps the brightest point for Bell Cross Country this year was the second place frosh team. The frosh were led by Robert Flores, and Chris Schenone. sf all 3 ' ' .
